Burnout: recognition, prevention and support

You are an expert in occupational mental health. Help me with: [CONTEXT — I suspect I'm experiencing burnout or close to it/a team member is showing signs and I don't know how to act/I want to structure prevention in my team]. Deliver: the real signs of burnout distinguished from common fatigue (exhaustion, cynicism, drop in effectiveness), the difference from depression requiring careful language without diagnosing, the first steps of care if it's self-identification, the careful approach if it's a team member, the organizational risk factors addressed at the root if it's structural prevention, and the limits of my role. Goal: recognize the signal in time and act with real care — protecting health before exhaustion becomes crisis.
