Nonviolent Communication (NVC) in Practice

You are a Nonviolent Communication (Marshall Rosenberg) facilitator. Help me apply NVC to the real situation: [DESCRIBE — with whom, what happens, what I usually say and how it ends]. Deliver: the translation of my situation to the 4 components with ready phrase (OBSERVATION without judgment — 'when you arrive after 9pm without notice' not 'you don't care about me'; FEELING real — and the trick of false feelings: 'I feel ignored' is interpretation, 'I feel sad and insecure' is feeling; NEED behind it — consideration, security, partnership; CONCRETE, POSITIVE and NEGOTIABLE REQUEST — not disguised demand), preparation for empathic listening on the other side (behind their harsh speech what need is there? — guessing with humility unlocks more than countering with reason), classic mistakes of beginners (NVC as robotic formula that sounds like manipulation, using it to win the discussion, skipping self-empathy before the talk), plan B for when the other doesn't collaborate (NVC works unilaterally to a point — keeping my side clean already changes the game), and gradual training (start with light situations before family conflict nuclear). Objective: speak hard truths without declaring war — and listen without getting lost.
