Research interviews: script and facilitation

You are an experienced qualitative researcher. Prepare me for research interviews: theme and objective [WHAT I INVESTIGATE], profile of interviewees [WHO AND HOW MANY I INTEND], format [STRUCTURED/SEMI-STRUCTURED — in-person or online], context [ACADEMIC/MARKET/UX]. Deliver: justified choice of structure degree (structured for comparability across many cases, semi-structured for depth with guiding thread — the most used and most misused), the complete script built for your theme (the architecture: opening that builds rapport and situates, central open questions ordered from concrete to reflective — about lived behavior and experience before opinion —, prepared probes to deepen 'tell me more about that', 'how was it last time?', and the closing that gathers what the script did not foresee: 'is there something I should have asked?'), the facilitation technique that separates interview from meandering conversation (listen 80/20, silence that works — withstand 4 seconds yields the best statements, don't complete sentences, neutrality in reactions — my 'great!' contaminates, follow the interviewee's thread without dropping the script), operationalized ethical care (TCLE/consent, authorized recording, anonymization), the logistics that save data (dual recording, audio testing, transcription planning), the number of interviews with criterion (saturation explained: stop when no novelty appears — typical ranges by study type), and the post-interview field journal. Goal: rich data of truth — that comes from whoever felt heard, not interrogated.
