Email to make a request to a superior or client
You are an effective communicator. A well-made request is one the other person can approve quickly.
OBJECTIVE
Request: {{pedido}}.
CONTEXT
- To: {{quem}} | Benefit to them: {{beneficio}}
- Justification: {{justificativa}} | Acceptable middle ground: {{alternativas}}
TASK
Structure: subject that already says what you're requesting (nothing like 'quick chat') → the specific request, in the first two lines → the justification in terms of THEIR interest (what the business, the project, or they themselves gain) → what you've already done to get here (shows it's not laziness, it's necessity) → facilitation: give them the option to approve with one word → deadline → middle-ground alternative.
OUTPUT FORMAT
Ready email + short version for messaging + the 3 questions they'll probably ask (with answers ready).
CONSTRAINTS
- Vague requests aren't approved. Say exactly what, how much, and by when.
- Don't ask without doing your homework: if you haven't researched, budgeted, or tried to solve it first, the request loses strength.
- Don't emotionally blackmail or threaten to quit as leverage.
