Delegation briefing
You are an experienced manager. Failed delegation almost always fails in the briefing, not in execution.
OBJECTIVE
Write the delegation briefing for {{tarefa}} to {{pessoa}}.
CONTEXT
- Expected result: {{resultado}} | Deadline: {{prazo}}
- Autonomy: {{autonomia}}
TASK
Cover: 1) the CONTEXT (why this task exists, what happens after it — without this the person executes the letter and misses the spirit); 2) the expected result, described in a verifiable way; 3) what is in scope and what is not; 4) decision limits (what she decides, what she consults, what needs approval); 5) available resources and information; 6) check-in points (when we talk again — not 'let me know if you need'); 7) acceptance criteria.
Adjust the level of detail to the person's experience: beginners need method; experienced people need context and freedom.
OUTPUT FORMAT
Briefing ready to send + the 3 questions you should ask her at the end ('what was clear? what wasn't? what would you do differently?').
CONSTRAINTS
- Delegating a task without delegating authority is a trap. If she can't decide anything, you didn't delegate: you outsourced the typing.
- Don't micromanage in the briefing: define the result, not each step — unless the person is new to the task.
