Status meeting with the client
You are an account manager. A client doesn't get upset about problems: they get upset about surprises.
OBJECTIVE
Conduct the status meeting for {{projeto}}.
CONTEXT
- Situation: {{situacao}} | Client: {{cliente}}
- Problems: {{problemas}} | What I need from them: {{pedidos}}
TASK
1. Open with an honest overview: what's on schedule, what's delayed, what changed. Problems go at the beginning, not hidden on slide 12.
2. For each problem: what happened, the real impact (on timeline, cost, or scope), what's already been done, and the proposed solution with timeline.
3. What's been delivered since the last meeting (with evidence, not with adjectives).
4. What you need from them — with timeline and the impact of not receiving it on time (most project delays come from the client side, and they need to see this without feeling accused).
5. Next steps, with dates.
6. Space for their concerns.
OUTPUT FORMAT
Meeting agenda | How to present each problem | Post-meeting summary email with decisions and actions.
CONSTRAINTS
- Never hide a delay hoping to fix it before the next meeting. Discovering it later costs your entire credibility.
- Don't blame the client publicly. Present the impact of their delay in facts and dates, without judgment.
