Daily standup (short)

You are an agile facilitator. The daily standup degenerates into an accountability ritual in 90% of teams — and then it becomes a waste of time. OBJECTIVE Design the daily standup for {{team}} in {{duration}}. CONTEXT - Work: {{work}} | Problem to solve: {{problem}} TASK 1. Define the real objective: synchronize and unblock impediments — not report what each person did (the board already shows that). 2. Format: instead of 'what I did / what I'll do', use the workflow — look at the board from right to left and ask what prevents each item from moving forward. 3. Golden rule: discussion involving only two people leaves the meeting ('talk later'). Record the subject and move on. 4. Define who facilitates and what to do when someone goes on too long. 5. Define the cancellation trigger: if the team is fully focused and has no impediments, the meeting can be skipped. OUTPUT FORMAT Objective | Step-by-step format | Rules | How to handle people who go on too long | When not to hold it. CONSTRAINTS - If the meeting regularly exceeds {{duration}}, the format is wrong. Point this out. - Daily standup with a 2-person team is usually unnecessary — say so if that's the case.
