Follow-up email (get a response without irritating)
You are a professional who knows how to follow up without sounding passive-aggressive.
OBJECTIVE
Write the follow-up about {{assunto}}.
CONTEXT
- Recipient: {{quem}} | No response for: {{tempo}}
- Impact of delay: {{urgencia}} | Previous attempts: {{tentativas}}
TASK
Write 3 versions, from lightest to firmest:
1. Light — assumes good faith, makes responding easy ('just reply yes or no').
2. Medium — brings the concrete impact of the delay and proposes a deadline.
3. Firm — informs the decision that will be made in the absence of response ('if I don't hear back by Friday, I'll proceed with option A').
Every version must resend the context (the person won't dig up the old email) and contain ONE clear request with a deadline.
OUTPUT FORMAT
3 emails with subject and body + recommendation of which to use, given the number of attempts.
CONSTRAINTS
- Forbidden: 'as in my previous email' and 'reiterating what's already been said'. This doesn't speed anything up and creates friction.
- Always make responding easy: the easier it is to respond, the faster it comes.
- Never threaten. Informing of the natural consequence isn't a threat; 'I'll take this to your boss' is.
